My mom named me Daneen. She saw it on a movie or something when she was pregnant. I have found a few other Daneens, but no info about where the name came from. Most sites put it under Danelle or something, but that's not correct.

I see it as a combination of names starting with "Dan" (Even Dana, feminine of Daniel, short form = Dan) and names ending with an "een" sound, like Darlene, Janine, Aileen, Justine etc.
I suggest perhaps trying to figure out what film your mother saw it in - that may lead to an explanation.

I would suggest that it's a combination of other names - Danielle and Janine spring to mind. I suggest you ask your mother to remember exactly where she saw/heard it - that way you might be able to find out a bit more about it.
