Lilah
Lila is here in the database, does anyone know if adding an H changes the meaning? Thanks!

Lilah could also be a short form of Delilah
Which would certainly change the meaning.
Also, would the pronounciation be different? If you see Lilah as short for Delilah, then it would be pronounced as "lie-la".
But what is the most common pronounciation of Lila? Lee-la or Lie-la?
"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

You're right! I pronounce Lilah "LIE-la", but I never thought of Delilah! I love the meaning of Delilah, but not the story. Do you think that Lilah's meaning could be synonomous with Delilah's?

The Hebrew word "lilakh" (sometimes transcribed as "lilah") means "lilac" (the plant). It looks like the two are related, but I don't know, whether this has anything to do withe the name.
