A lot of my German cousins have French names, I just wasn't sure how far back the popularity of French names went in my family. The rest of her siblings are Fritz, Adam, Margaret, Jacob, Maria, Kristina, Hildegard, Herman, Anna, Helene, and Katharine. So, it would be odd, but not entirely unlikely. It's the only explanation that makes sense to me at present.
