Just letting you all know 'The First Name Books' web site has now been launched. It is a platform for books about 'First Names'. Melissa BEE is the only one in the world that writes full books on a single name. Melissa BEE is not the only one nor the first one in the world that writes full books on a single name.
Pierre Le Rouzic (well known French author of onomastics books) has a serie of full books on single names since 1989 at least:"Un prénom, un caractère" (Virginie, Marie, Pierre, Jacques, Anne, Michel, Catherine, Christine, Bernard, David, Jean and Isabelle, at least).
And I'm sure that I saw the same type of books some time ago in Barcelona (I don't remember if in Spanish or in Catalan), but since I don't have the exact reference I will limit myself to the French books, which are available to be purchased online (through Fnac, Chapitre...).
So, affirmations as "the only one in the world that writes full books on a single name" or "There has never been a book devoted entirely to one word - your name - until now." (as appears on the website) are not true.
