Anyone with a Japanese dictionary could tell you the word ichigo means strawberry. Do you actually have proof for the use of Ichigo as a feminine name in Japan? The only use I have seen of it as an actual first name is as a stage name for an actress and for ficticious characters. It does not seem to have yet been adopted as an actual given name by the Japanese.
