Bézu is a French surname, not a first name. It comes from a place name in the departments of Aisne and Eure (France).
In French, surnames are not used as first names (excepted some saints' surnames as Régis or Vianney) but Dan Brown (the author of "Da Vinci Code") is American and has commited several mistakes in relation with French or European culture, among other things. This is one of those mistakes.
