Hi all
Do we pronounce Shanon the same way as we pronounce Shannon?
Someone told me that Shanon should be "Sha"+"Non" and not "Shan"+"Non".
Which is correct?

What did they base that pronunciation theory on? Sounds like someone got Shanon and Shalom mixed up from the pronunciation they gave you.
I'd just see Shanon sp. as supporting evidence for Hanks' theory that Shannon is only so popular because of it's resemblance to the name Sharon. To me, Shanon/Shannon are just two sides of SHAN-non.
Now Senan and Seanan...those are another story ;o)
