Looking for a French girls name

When I lived in France for a while (when I was relatively young) I knew a girl whose name sounded like Ann-yez but I can't find it in the database and not really sure how to spell it. Does anyone have a clue on what it might have been? Maybe I am just thinking phoenetically and it's not even close.

This is just the French way to pronounce Agnes. :)

Thanks. I don't recall seeing her name written down ever, but looking at that I think you are right!
