Is the first syllable more like the name Al or the word all? Or does it matter?

I'm guessing it's AL-uh-ric (I like it more with the all sound, but I want to pn it correctly.)

The link (Alaric) says it's pronounced AL-ə-rik, so I'd assume that's the correct pronunciation.
