Callirhoe
I've just turned up a distantly related ancestor with the first name Callirhoe. Google tells me it's Greek, and also the name of the oldest extant novel. Does anyone have any idea to pronounce it? I'm thinking Calli-roey, but I know zero Greek.

Thanks!
Callirrhoe (or Kallirrhoe, a variant transcription) is pronounced kah-lee-ROH-ee in Modern Greek.
According to googling, Callirhoe means "beautiful stream" in Greek. I hope someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's pronounced cahl-lee-roh-eh.
