Hi Djorn,
Your first name does exist in Denmark where it is a misspelling of the English name John.
Bain is the name of a river in Great Britain. I don't know its meaning, I found "straight" as well as "short"...???

Hey thanks alot.I was told it was Sweedish by a friend.I knew it came from Europe somewhere but I was not sure exactly where.As for my last name I found out it was from Britain but that was all I knew of it.
