Please can someone give me some definitive answer about how the ballerina Tanaquil le Clercq pronounced her name??? Guesses aren't really helpful. (she was french, but the name is Latin)
Also, Tanaquilla is the italian form.

Any ideas?
This would settle an on going debate!

I would pronounce it tan-a-keel. Caveat: I'm not a native French speaker.

Try and imagine how the French would pronounce Nyquil, and youll be pretty close :P
