Does anyone know the meaning of Tithonus?
I believe it is Latin, but it may be Greek. I'm not sure if it is a personal name or not.

Tithonus is the Latinized form of Tithonos from Greek Mythology.
This lists a possible meaning and the only one I've come across:

Thanks :)
The site is very helpful. I've just started reading Greek plays and I think it will be a great tool for that too.

...provided I get my ass moving and start updating it already!
Good to see you on the board again ... welcome back!
So Tithonos has nothing to do with grasshoppers, then? I've always wondered, because so often there's a pun, often a name pun, at the root of the transformation stories. Interesting! (Can't think of any examples right now, of course: Sod's Law kicking in as usual.)
