linquistics and etymology research
not sure if this is the place to post this question, but here goes;
I am a e-forensic (that is i conduct forensic investigations on computer systems) and i am currently doing researech into derivations and alternate spellings of names. The idea is to be able to input the roots of a name and conduct an 'intelligent' search for evidence. My question is is there any resource that you know of online that provides a more (no offence to the webmaster) in depth analysis of the etymological roots of names?
Any help in this area would be appreciated
