Kosovare
I recently came across someone (female, of Balkanian descent I think= with this name. I'm quite puzzled by it. Does it actually mean, as I'd imagine "from the Kossovo". Does anyone know anything about its use as a name?

I didn't know that was a personal name :P But the word ''Kosovar, pl. Kosovari''itself is often used in Kosova to denote the citizen/s of Kosova.
Yeah, I'm aware of it, that's why it's a bit odd to see it used as a first name.
