meaning
I know Nerissa is supposed to mean sea fairy or daughter of the sea. But has anyone gotten anything different?

As this site says, Nerissa is a name created originally by Shakespeare. The best guess is that he did this from words meaning something like "sea sprite" -- but that is just an educated guess. We really don't know and probably will never know for sure, unless someone discovers some unknown writings by or about Shakespeare from near the time that he lived that give us his reasons for creating the name.
