Most of baby name sites confuse meaning, which has to do with etymology, and characters with that name and when the meaning is unknown (or they don't know it), they put the character in the place of the meaning.
Mordred was a son or a nephew of Arthur, depending on the versions of the Arthurian legend, but obviously that is not the meaning, because any part of the name means "son", "nephew" or "Arthur" in any language.
On the other hand, I don't know any Latin word meaning pain (the main is doleo) that can be the etym of Mordred.
