Can someone tell me the meaning of my surname "Wills"?
Every behind the name site Ive been to has not had the surname,"Wills" listed. And I would really like to know what it means. All I know about it is that its Scottish.
So if anyone would find it for me Id really appreciate it. And if you need ancestory, all I remember is my grandfathers name which is Fay. And he lived in Clear Lake, California.
unfortunately thats all I have.
If you need to contact me, do it here or my email address is...

Wills is probably like Wilson, so somewhere before 1066 in England and ancestor of yours was Will's Kid, hence Wills.
Wilson is the son of william which is an english name(so says this site anyway). So I really want to be sure.a
Well Johns, Williams, etc are just possessive (cant remember how to spell that) name. Like my previous example that John there is Wills, therefore he is John Wills.
However I will check my Aunt book on surnames.
