I don't know how this person pronounces it, but I've seen it before as a nickname. A friend of a friend is called Anne Harod but apparently she hates the name "Anne" so she goes by both names "Anne-Harod" and it kind of runs together and sounds like Annegharad, the way lazy English people tend to say things. It sounds like Anne with a g on the end and then Harod.
