the name Rickena
My husband is of Czech descent and we have decided to give our children Czech names. I am currently pregnant (uncertain of gender just yet, but planning ahead) and we wanted to name our potential daughter Rickena. My question is concerning the pronounciation. Is it Ri-KEN-ah or Ri-KAY-na. I myself am not familiar with Czech, but would like to say her name correctly (otherwise I do not feel we are truly honoring my husbands heritage.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think, c would be pronounced like "ts", so that would make it something like RITS-ken-a, for all that I know about Czech (which isn't much at all). Unless it's originally c with a v shaped thingy on top, then it would be RICH-ken-a.
However, when I googled that name, nothing Czech came about (other than grammatical forms of the German last name Ricken). So I doubt if that name is Czech at all. Maybe anyone else knows more about this?

To Kaleko,
I found the name on a Czech baby name site...which if you've ever gone to any of these sites...they're not always accurate. I only found the name on one site, so perhaps you are right and it is not really a Czech name after all. Thank you for your help.
Claire,
Thank you for the pronounciation. I appreciate it.
