Hi all, new here! Anyway, my name is Dareth, and try as I might, I have never been able to find any information on my name, no matter how much searching I do. Once a very long time ag, in a very old baby names book, I saw it listed as a variation of "Dara" meaning "heart of wisdom". I have also been told it is a Welsh/Gaelic name, but never been able to learn any more about it. Anyone with any info, or any links to info or any ideas on how I could obtain info would be greatly apppreciated!

Are you male or female? Have you asked your parents where they found the name? The first step in investigating the origin of a particular person's name is always interviewing the person(s) who named him or her. :)

My mom actually got it off a gameshow... one of the contestants names was "Dareth" (I'm female, btw), and my mom liked the name... so really not much help there!!
