In Spanish, Amadeo is pronounced ah-mah-DEH-oh. And this is the only correct pronunciation of the name in Spanish.

so the DEH is pronounced like the De- in Den? The emphasis on that syllable definitely makes more sense than on the MAH, since its a form of Amadeus.
