Hi, It's always been Italian to me, Drago that is, I've never heard the name Dragovic, but I do know that Drago means Dragon, and the First Drago I find was Duke Martinovic, of what country I don't know. Then there were the Drago's of Moldava Romania who's desendants were kicked out. Then their are Drago's curently holding Royal titles in Italy now, so good luck on your search.

Dragovic means "belonging to Drago" or "son of Drago". Drago is a form of the Slavic name Dragan. It is used in Croatia as far as I know and probably in a few other Slavic countries (?).
