My name is Zana...it is pronounced like Donna only with a Z. I have tried to find it`s origins and meaning most of my life to no avail. I am a female. I was told it may be Native American. Can anyone help me?

Have you asked your parents where they found the name? That's the first information to have to try to track down a name's origin.
Zanna has been used as a short form of Suzanna or Susanna. Given your pronunciation of Zana, it seems most likely to me that your name is simply a respelling of Zanna, unless you know more about how your parents came to choose it.

My Father said he knew a lady named Zana but when she wrote her name it was always with 2 short a`s and an accent on the end. He has no idea where it came from. I`m from Tennessee if that helps.
