Necessity of using "Sr."
My son is David, Jr. He is now an adult. I am obligated in any way to add "Sr." to my name? Is he obligated to use "Jr." I would rather haved him calling him self Jr. and me not calling myself Sr.

Technically, he is a Jr. only if his entire name (middle name included) is the same as yours. I don't know if that's the case with you, just mentioning for the sake of completeness. Either way, none of you is legally obliged to use Jr. or Sr. if it's not on your birth certificates.
Having said that, Miss Manners says that a man should never be styled Sr. The only time Sr. should be used is to differentiate a widow, Mrs. John Doe, Sr. from her daughter-in-law, Mrs. John Doe, and possibly, her granddaughter-in-law, Mrs. John Doe, Jr.
