Hey all! Wondering if you could help me with some research for my Lexicology degree?

I'll explain briefly what I'm doing: looking at the most popular names since 1900 and trying to explain why. The biblical ones are easier but could anyone suggest why these names were popular, and also what type of connotations do you think they have? I need a popular public opinion so I can generalise away ; )
