Does anyone know the Greek name day for the name Vanessa? I've researched it and traced it back to the names Venus and Aphrodite of which i cant find either name day. Either can do, but I prefer to find out the Vanessa name day (haha). Thanks...

In Greece it is tradition that everybody who does not have his/her "own" nameday, celebrates with All Saints. This year (2004) All Saints: 6th of june.

I know a few girls that are names Vassiliki and go by the name of Vanessa, they celebrate it on January 1st, 2004

According to this site, Vanessa has an altogether different etymology :)
Although the name Aphrodite is frequently used in contemporary Greece, it does not have a Greek nameday as there was no X-tian St Aphrodite :) Of course you may chose to celebrate Aphrodite on July 15, date of the Aphrodisia festival of the Hekatombaion in classical Hellenic tradition.
