I was told that in a certain language 'Nadja' means 'hope' and in an other 'rare'. Does anybody know something about it?

Hi Nadja,
Nadja is a pet form for the Russian name Nadjeschda (in English the spelling would be Nadezhda) which means "hope" in Russian. I haven't heard of any other meaning for Nadja.
