does anyone have a clue why names Damien, Malachi and Sebastian are so-called satanic names? i have heard these kind of rumors before, but i haven`t found explonations from www.behindthename.com. it would be nice to know this.

Yeah, it's Hollywood, but it's also culturally tied to America alone.
MALACHI is traditionally used by the Irish as an Anglicization of a few Gaelic names and I understand DAMIEN is an increasingly common name there. SEBASTIAN has always been used by the French and probably got a boost from the Little Mermaid cartoon.
