How do you pronounce Jochebed? I've sort of been saying it like "Joss-ah-bed," but I get the feeling that's pretty far off...

Yes, I have always actually heard it pronounced yo-KHEH-ved as you described, but then again, it was always in Theological Studies courses when discussing the mother of Mosees; I have no insight as to any other pronunciatons.
I've always assumed it was prn JOH-keh-bed, because in the Bible, "ch" is usually prn like a K, with Rachel being a notable exception.
