Shamba is my brothers name. There once was a king from Africa named Shamba. Does anyone know what the name means? I think it means justice, law and order. Sincerely.

Shamba is a form of the Hindu name Samvara, meaning "fortunate or blessed".

From what I've found, Shamba is predominantly used as a name in the Indian culture, but I just found something that says it IS a Swahili word meaning "a smallholding" ( http://onelook.com/?w=smallholding&ls=a ). I also just found out that Shamba is the Hindustani word for the seventh day of the week (Saturday).
