I was asked by my English Teacher to find the origin of my name and i have an uncommon name. I was just wondering if anyone else on this site has my name(Siedah), and do you know what it means? i know that my mom named me after a singer named Siedah Garrett, but that's about it. i know nothing else about it. i also want to know if i've been pronouncing my name right. (Sigh-e-duh). please help!

I'm sure I once read about a historial / mythological person called Siadiea or something ..

To me it looks like it should be pronounced like it looks - sigh-dah (like Cider) unless there is an accent like Siédah

Or it could be a variation of Sayyida or Sa'ida
