I do not know any Tamil, but have you checked http://www.cs.utk.edu/~siddhart/tamilnadu/NAMES/ The site seems somewhat reliable, though the translations are not literal, but remember that the spellings in the Roman script are very variable, and the consonants of Tamil are very different than in English.

The -eswaran and Easwari could be Sanskrit Ishvar master from Ish to possess. -samy may be Sanskrit svAmi master related to sva cognate with German sich oneself. -ammal and -appan may be mother and father.
