Hello,
My mother and I are very interested in the gaelic language and were wondering what our names would be in gaelic. My name is Hannah and my mother's is Elizabeth. If there is any way that you could tell me that would be great, thanks for your time.Hannah

To clarify some info from the other post, in Irish-Gaelic:Toiréasa is a literal translation of Theresa, created when that name was introduced by the Norman-French.Treasa is an older name meaning 'fierce' or 'warlike,' and is the root of the surname Tracey. It is used as a translation for Theresa based off of their audible and visual similarities. The forms Toireassa & Toirésa listed before, are not truely Gaelic.

Hi Teresa,I've seen the forms Toireassa, Toirésa, Treása and Treasa which I think are Irish forms of Teresa (Merriment??? ;) ).But in Scotland and Ireland the forms Teresa and Theresa are used as well. For the meaning, just try the link.Regards, Satu
