How is Abilene pronounced? And are there several different ways of saying it?

I think the multiple US placenames called Abilene are 'AB-i-leen', but the pronunciation this site gives for the name is ab-i-LEEN-ee. Is the Biblical placename pronounced differently to the modern ones?
