Paris for aboys name
I take offense to the people who have taken a male gendered name in Greek myth. and turned it into a female name. If anyone has ever studied greek myth they would KNOW that it was a male. People are now taking the city name or "Paris Hilton" and using it as female. Paris even in the dictionary says that he was the prince of Troy whose abduction of Helen provoked the Trojan War. There are males named this and it is unique. A unique person leaves an imprint in all who come across them and they will be remembered more often the the "Michaels and Michelles".

You say that people who use a male name for a female should be resented. By this logic we should completely banish the female use of the name Ashley. Names evolve. Paris has been used for both sexes, and will probably continue to be used for both. The Hilton family may have been thinking of the French city (and its emotional associations) more than of the prince of antiquity.

Don't talk to yourself please
