English translation of Goran
by
Goran

I was wondering if anyone knows whether the Croation name "
Goran
" is "
George
" in English. If so, how? And if not, is there an English translation of "
Goran
."
Thanks!

In Croatian 'gora' is a mountain and I guess in English it would be Montan /
Montana
.

I am macedonian and I've understood that Gora means forest and that
Goran
means something like forest person.

Given that
Goran
comes from "gora" - forest, I would say
Silvester
is a good pick.
