Just wondering if Tabitha and Tavita are the same thing, basically. It seems to me they are not.

It is moi :D and I have an answer of sorts..

According to Kolatch (the New Name Dictionary - a book on Hebrew names), Tavita is a form of Tavi, which is a female form of David. Which I suppose makes sense.
