Does Zigana mean 'gypsy'? (checking because the source I got it from is not so reliable) Does anyone know anything about its usage?

It is also the name of a mountain range in Turkey, which is interesting because I kept seeing it on name sites as being a Turkish name. I didn't place much trust in those sites though.

Since all kinds of words in other languages are so similar, I'll assume the meaning 'gypsy' is right.
I'd still like to know about the usage, and especially if gypsies themselves would have used this as a name.

It seems a reespelling of the English word tzigane, "gypsy", from the French tsigane and that from the Hungarian cigány.

Well, Zigeuner does! But I agree, it's not a good enough match for me to feel confident.

That's why I did find it credible
It looks a lot like Zigeuner.
No clues, I remember reading it in my not-so-reliable namebook, it just stated: Zigana, female, means 'gypsy'.
