Hijenio is a missformation of the male name Higinio (from the greek Hygies (sane) and latinized like Hyginius/Hyginus, which means "sane, in good shape") The missformation is done by influence of Eugenio, much more usual.
The use of the J letter before the E letter is due, more probably, to the attraction of the word 'hijo' (son) -which is quite frequent and of a known spelling- or to a wish of innovation in usual names, which has been happening these years in South America.
