In the Chortí dialect(Guatemalan Native culture descendents
of the Mayas), "Tia" means "where/when" and "Mok" means "sick/ill". It is not common for Chortí Natives to give native names to their children. You would hardly ever find a boy named Ah k'in("the day"/"the sun")or Ahk'ab("The night"/"darkness") plus "Tiamok" would mean "when sick"(not a lovely meaning, I know) but at the very least, I am NOT letting you walk away, empty-handed...(how nice of me :op)
