Is it pronounced svay-ah or svee-ah or something else? Thanks.

right, it's neither "ay" nor "ee", but afaik in english the pronunciation is usually given as "ay", since that "é" sound doesn't exist.

SVÉ-ah. The e is acute, like in the French word liberté.
