Need help with pronunciations on these names.........
My great grandma Ella just turned 110 so my dad who loves genealogy just printed a huge poster showing her ancestors for her big celebration. I was looking at it and one of his genealogy books and found many german/dutch family names that I'm curious about. How would you pronounce:Girls:Elsabe
Elisabe
Telsche
Gretje
StienkeBoys:Thiess / Thies
Reimer
Reinhold
Dressen
Dierck
Hargen
Parm / Parren
Barteld
DetlefUnknown:Henning
Trienke
Hobke
Gorl
Geel
Hartwig
Beke
I'm certain there are others but this is what I have right now. The most common girls names in there seem to be Antje and Wiebcke / Wiebke and Margaretha but those are all in the database or I've already asked about them. Also an interesting thing I've noticed was that there was a girl named Abel in there. Anyways all help that can be given is wanted and I'm thankful for it.
