Cormac
I know here it is listed as corb=defilement plus mac=son, and my Oxford Dictionary of FN agrees, but is this for certain. I love this name and befoer I cross it off my list, I'd like to be certain of it's unsavory meaning.
I wasthinking perhaps a link to ciar=black.
Thanks,
Melina

I love the name Cormac too! I got this info from a favourite Celtic names website of mine:
Cormac - from corbaid "defile" + mac "son";
OR
"charioteer."
