where does my name originate and what does it mean?

my first name is Taisha. I have found Japanese temples with the name Taisha and there is a city in Japan named Taisha. Yet I don't know the meaning of my name or if it originated in Taisha, Japan. I am a female and Puerto Rican.

I know that my mother named me after her. Her name was Tian, but I want more depth and clarity, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi, my name is Taisha also. My mom got it off the old TV show I Spy. There was a Russian spy on the show named Taisha. I have since learned that the name is Russian and there are variations of the name "Natasha, Nataisha) etc. If you find out more, let me know!

Well my dad named me and has never told me why. It is Japanese i think. It is a colour.
