Can anyone help with the origins of this name please, found on my great grandads marriage cert in 1880. His fathers christian name is given as the following,( as near as I can decipher.)
GNEZILINOR/INIZILINOR/GREZILINOR/SNEZILINOR/INEZILINOR, occupation CAPTAIN, although it doesnt say of what SEA/ARMY?. Surname GERMAIN possibly continental, with connections to LINCOLNSHIRE and later LONDON where the marriage took place (although of course it doesnt mean that he was at the marriage)Any help gratefully recieved Thank you.
