Russian names among Old Believers
I found these names in a National Geographic article about Russian Orthodox Old Believers in Alaska:
Ulita (girl) and Varsanofy (boy). Anyone who knows the meanings?

The Orthodox Church of America's website lists Ulita as a variant of Julitta, a saint (see the database for more info). Can't find any info on Varsanofy.

This should be under the OPVarsanofy is almost certainly the Russian form of Barsanuphius (the Latinized form of a Greek saint's name):http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/saintb1i.htm
