I believe the traditional pronunciation in English is "THAY-leez", but that probably wasn't the original way it was said in ancient Greek. :)

In classical and contemporary Greek, the name is accented in the last syllable (tha-LEESS). "Th-" is pronounced the way Sylvester the cat would pronounce the letter S.
