It's a Romanian name, and I was guessing that it would be pronounced Il-ee or maybe E-li, but I don't think I'm guessing right... so does anybody know?

The tennis player's name sounded like EEL-ee-ah or ILL-ee-ah when said by commentators ... but they were native speakers of English ...
