I heard once that the name Eliphilet means "God is faithful." I have not been able to confirm this. I know that the shortened version "Eli" means ascension in old Hebrew, but that's not exactly the same. I believe David (in the Bible) named one of his sons Eliphilet. Does anyone have any further information?
